How long does a redesign take?
Most full website redesigns take between 4 and 8 weeks from sign-off on the brief to launch. The timeline depends on the size of your current site, the volume of content to migrate, and how quickly you can turn around feedback on design concepts. Smaller sites — up to 10 pages — can often be completed in 3 to 4 weeks. Larger sites with e-commerce or complex features typically take 6 to 10 weeks. We’ll give you a firm timeline in your quote.
Can you keep my existing content?
Absolutely. Content migration is included in every redesign. We copy every page, blog post, image, product listing and media file across to the new site. If you’d like us to review and improve the copy at the same time — updating it for SEO or refreshing the tone — we can include that as part of the project. We’ll discuss what you want to keep, update, or remove during the audit phase.
What about my domain?
Your domain stays exactly as it is — we build on a private staging environment and migrate everything across on launch day. There’s no need to change your domain, and we’d strongly advise against it from an SEO perspective. We handle all the DNS changeover, SSL certificate, and hosting migration if needed. Your domain is your biggest SEO asset and we treat it with care.
Will my site go offline during the rebuild?
No. Your existing site stays live throughout the entire rebuild process. We build the new site on a private staging URL that you can review and approve before anything goes public. Once you’re happy, we switch the domain over to the new site — which typically takes less than an hour and has zero downtime. Your business keeps running without interruption from start to finish.
